TAGBASE Wins AI Pitching Event at the New Technologies Summit 2025
We are proud to announce that TAGBASE has won the AI Pitching Event at the New Technologies Summit 2025 at Vienna AirportCity.
Our CEO & Co-Founder Manuel Mertl took the stage to present TAGBASE’s vision of connecting the physical and digital worlds through AI, blockchain and NFC technology.
This recognition highlights our mission to build the infrastructure for trust, authenticity, and intelligent product interaction through NFC and AI.
A New Standard for Product Intelligence
TAGBASE is transforming how people interact with physical products. Our technology links every product to a dynamic NFC tag that creates a unique, verifiable digital identity. When a consumer scans a product, they not only verify its authenticity but also gain access to a completely new experience: chatting directly with the product itself.
How TAGBASE Uses AI
At the core of TAGBASE is our AI-powered Product Chat System, which turns static product data into an intelligent, conversational interface.
When a user scans an NFC tag, they can ask the product questions such as:
“How do I clean the coffee machine?” “Where can I order replacement parts?” “What’s covered under warranty?”
The system instantly retrieves the relevant information from the product’s manuals, documents, and videos and responds in natural language, as if the product were speaking for itself.
To make this possible, TAGBASE developed an advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline that overcomes one of the biggest challenges of modern AI systems: processing very large technical documents.
Our approach combines:
- Smart Chunking: Breaking complex documents into meaningful sections.
- Vector Indexing & Semantic Search: Finding the exact content relevant to each user query.
- Dynamic Context Generation: Feeding only the right data to the AI for precise, cost-efficient answers.
This architecture allows our system to handle thousands of pages of manuals, specifications, and videos per product, in multiple languages, without losing accuracy or speed.

Each product carries a secure, dynamic NFC tag that changes its encrypted signature with every scan.
