TAGBASE Joins the SILICON ALPS Cluster
We are proud to announce that TAGBASE is now an official partner of the SILICON ALPS Cluster — Austria’s high-tech network for electronic and software-based systems.
The Silicon Alps Cluster brings together companies, research institutions and public organizations to strengthen innovation, knowledge exchange and collaboration across areas including RFID and wireless IoT, smart sensor systems, cybersecurity and power electronics.
These fields are closely connected to our work and vision at TAGBASE.
Creating trust for physical objects
TAGBASE is building trust infrastructure for physical objects by giving products, components and other assets secure and verifiable digital identities. By combining NFC and QR technologies with our software platform, physical objects can be connected to trusted digital information and a wide range of applications.
These applications include product authentication, Digital Product Passports, supply-chain traceability, ownership records, digital certificates, warranty management, service documentation and interactive customer experiences.
Our platform is designed to support different industries and use cases — from consumer products and medical devices to industrial equipment, art and service operations. Companies can use TAGBASE to make important information available throughout the lifecycle of a physical object while also verifying that users are interacting with the genuine product or asset.
Building stronger connections between physical and digital systems
As products and industrial processes become increasingly connected, companies need reliable ways to identify physical objects and verify the information associated with them.
A digital record can only provide real value when it can be securely connected to the correct physical object. TAGBASE helps bridge this gap by linking physical assets with verifiable digital identities and records.
This connection can improve transparency across supply chains, support regulatory requirements such as Digital Product Passports and enable new digital services throughout the entire product lifecycle. It can also help companies protect their products, strengthen customer trust and generate valuable insights from interactions with physical objects.
The SILICON ALPS Cluster’s strong focus on RFID, wireless IoT and secure electronic systems makes this partnership especially relevant for us. It provides an excellent environment for exchanging knowledge, exploring emerging technologies and developing collaborative projects with technology companies, industrial partners and research institutions.
Turning collaboration into practical solutions
Innovation in connected products rarely happens in isolation. It requires expertise across hardware, software, cybersecurity, manufacturing, research and industry-specific processes.
By joining the SILICON ALPS Cluster, we want to contribute our experience in secure NFC technology, product authentication, physical-digital identities and Digital Product Passports. At the same time, we look forward to learning from the extensive technical and industrial expertise within the network.
We see strong potential for collaborative projects in areas such as secure product identification, industrial IoT, smart manufacturing, maintenance verification, traceability and the implementation of Digital Product Passports.
Looking ahead
Becoming part of the SILICON ALPS network represents another important step in the development of TAGBASE and our mission to make physical objects more transparent, trustworthy and digitally connected.
We look forward to participating actively in the community, initiating new collaborations and helping turn innovative technologies into practical solutions for real-world applications.
We are excited to join this strong technology ecosystem and look forward to building bridges for tomorrow together with the SILICON ALPS community.
