TAGBASE Joins Plattform Industrie 4.0 Austria

We are pleased to announce that TAGBASE has become a member of Plattform Industrie 4.0 Austria, one of Austria’s leading networks for digital transformation, advanced manufacturing, and the future of industry.

Plattform Industrie 4.0 Austria brings together companies, start-ups, research and academic institutions, public authorities, social partners, and other organizations working to shape the digital transformation of Austrian and European industry. Its activities cover key topics such as industrial data sharing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital twins, sustainable production, the future of work, and the Digital Product Passport.

For TAGBASE, joining the platform is a natural next step in our mission to build trust infrastructure for physical objects.

Connecting physical products with trusted digital identities

As industrial value chains become increasingly connected and >Digital Product Passports, digital twins, traceability systems, and industrial data spaces can only deliver their full value when the underlying data can be securely linked to the correct physical product.

TAGBASE addresses this challenge by providing physical objects with secure and easily verifiable digital identities. Using cryptographically secured NFC technology, products can be authenticated through a smartphone without requiring a dedicated application. This enables companies to connect physical products with trusted digital information, lifecycle events, certificates, service records, ownership data, and Digital Product Passports.

Contributing to Austria’s Industry 4.0 ecosystem

Through our membership, we look forward to exchanging knowledge and experience with more than 700 experts from industry, research, technology, government, and other organizations within the platform’s Austrian and European network.

We are particularly interested in contributing to discussions and initiatives related to:

  • Industrial data sharing and interoperability
  • Digital twins and the Asset Administration Shell
  • Traceability across supply chains
