MEMORITAL is coming to Germany

A gravestone you can tap with your phone, opening a story that stays alive for generations. That’s MEMORITAL, and today we’re happy to announce that it’s expanding to Germany.

What MEMORITAL does

MEMORITAL connects physical places of remembrance with a digital layer. A small NFC chip is built discreetly into a gravestone, an urn or a piece of memorial jewellery. When a visitor holds their smartphone to it, a personal memorial page opens. There’s no app to install and no QR code to scan.

The page holds a biography, life milestones, a photo gallery, videos and personal stories. Visitors can also light a virtual candle, and that’s where it gets interesting. Some actions, like lighting that candle, only work on site. The chip is secure and can’t be copied, so every tap proves that someone was really there. The memory stays tied to the place, and each visit means more than scrolling a screen.

Families get a way to keep memories alive across generations. Funeral directors, stonemasons, urn makers and jewellers get a respectful, modern service to offer, and a new source of revenue. They manage everything in one partner dashboard: they create memorial profiles, upload photos, order chips, assign each chip to a profile in a few clicks and preview what relatives will see. No IT knowledge is needed.

Our man in Germany

To grow in Germany, we need someone on the ground who knows the market. Abanob Ayoub is our contact person for MEMORITAL there. He’ll work directly with funeral directors and other partners, from the first conversation through to rollout.
